A New Smaller Residence Certificate Is Now Available From The National Police
New certificate of registration for Citizens of the European Union.
The new models have already been issued by the National Police in the Autonomous Community of Castilla y León and progressively implemented throughout the national territory.
The Directorate General of Police and Civil Guard, through the Commissioner General of Immigration and National Border Police has started issuing a new certificate of registration to Citizens of The European Union Community.
The new certificate ( model ID-1 ), with significantly smaller dimensions than the present certificate (86mm x 54 mm) which are similar to those of other customary documents such as a driver's license or health card.
This initiative aims to provide the EU citizens greater convenience and flexibility in their documentation, and avoid frequent damage produced in previous models, and responds to a repeated demand of the people affected.
